Day at the Capitol - May 8, 2025
An active learning experience on the lawn of the Michigan State Capitol for over 300 Lansing Public School students. This special event features distinguished SHAPE-MI Physical Education Teachers of the Year leading the students through a fun morning of exercise and learning at the doorstep of our State Capitol.
For an added touch of excitement, each PE teacher will be paired with a coach or an athlete from Michigan’s college and professional sports teams, creating a unique mentorship and learning opportunity. These interactions aim to inspire the young participants by demonstrating the skills and dedication of top athletes and coaches.
